On May 10, 2024, a meeting was held at Khazar University with Mr. Tetsushi Sonobe, the head of Japan’s Asian Development Bank Institute, and Nicolas J. A. Buchoud, chief advisor to the director of the Institute.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Rector Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Professor Mahammad Nuriyev, vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Isakhan Isakhanli, vice-rector for Management and Student Affairs, Ingilab Ahmadov, dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business, Raziya Isayeva, Director of Development Office, Lyudmila Sotova, director of Quality Assurance Center, Fakhranda Efendiyeva, dean of the School of Science and Engineering, Gunel Bahaddinova, deputy dean for Scientific Affairs of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology and coordinator of International Relations Department Arzu Badalova.
During the meeting, Arzu Badalova first gave detailed information about the university, and then Ingilab Ahmadov spoke about the economy and business activities of the university.
The primary focus of the discussion was the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, to be held in Azerbaijan this November, and the potential for cooperation in environmental protection.
