“Avropa Birliyi və Qara dəniz Regional Əməkdaşlığının perspektivləri” mövzusunda mühazirə Guest Lecture and Agreement Signed with International Centre for Black Sea Studies

Sentyabrın 17-də Xəzər Universitetinin siyasi elm və beynəlxalq münasibətlər departamentinin təşkialtçılığı ilə Qara Dəniz Beynəlxalq Araşdırmalar Mərkəzinin(İCBSS) baş direktoru, fəlsəfə doktoru Zefi Dimadama “Avropa Birliyi və Qara dəniz Regional Əməkdaşlığının perspektivləri” mövzusunda mühazirə oxuyub. Qurucularından biri Azərbaycan olan İCBSS-nin hökumətlərarası regional təşkilatı Afinada yerləşir və Qara Dəniz İqtisadi Əməkdaşlıq Təşkilatı (BSEC) ilə əlaqəli orqandır.
Z. Dimadama İCBSS və BSEC haqqında çıxış edərək, Mərkəzin nəşrlər departamentinin tələbə qurumu haqqında məlumat verdi. O, regional inteqrasiya üçün çətinlik yaradan geniş Qara dəniz regionunda baş verən hadisələrə münasibətini bildirdi və regional əməkdaşlıq üçün imkanlardan, Avropa Birliyi üçün bölgənin əhəmiyyətindən bəhs etdi.
Tədbirdə iştirak edən Yunanıstanın Azərbaycandakı fövqəladə və səlahiyyətli səfiri Dimitrios Tsunqas 2014-cü il iyulun 1-dən başlayaraq dekabrın 31-dək davam edəcək BSEC-ə Yunanıstan sədrliyinin prioritetləri haqqında auditoriyaya məlumat verdi.
Mühazirədən sonra Xəzər Universitetinin təsisçisi, Direktorlar və Qəyyumlar Şurasının sədri professor Hamlet İsaxanlı və Z. Dimadama tərəfindən Xəzər Universiteti və Qara dəniz Beynəlxalq Araşdırmalar Mərkəzi (İCBSS) arasında Əməkdaşlıq və Akademik Mübadilə Sazişinin imzalanma mərasimi oldu.
Tədbir Avropa Birliyinin Erasmus + proqramının dəstəyi ilə Jean Monnet Avropa Seminarlar Silsiləsi çərçivəsində təşkil edilmişdi. The Department of Political Science and International Relations at Khazar University hosted a lecture entitled “Perspectives on the European Union and the Black Sea Regional Cooperation.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Zefi Dimadama, Director General of The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS). The ICBSS is based in Athens and is a related body to the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) – the intergovernmental regional organization of which Azerbaijan was a founding member.
Dr. Zefi Dimadama made a presentation about the ICBSS and BSEC, informing the student body about the publications of the centre. Dr. Dimadama provided her insights into the unfolding events in the wider Black Sea area which pose a challenge to regional integration and talked about opportunities for regional cooperation and the importance of the region for the European Union.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Dimitrios Tsoungas, who also participated in the event, also informed the audience about the priorities of the Hellenic Chairmanship of the BSEC which is from 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2014.
The talk was preceded by the signing ceremony of the Cooperation and Academic Exchange Agreement between Khazar University and The International Centre For Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) – signed by Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees of Khazar University, and Dr. Zefi Dimadama.
The event was organized within the Jean Monnet European Seminar Series with the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
