In the book ” Suicidal Behavior in Muslim Majority Countries” published by Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd, the joint article ” Suicidal Behavior in Azerbaijan ” by Khazar University faculty member Ulkar Isayeva and the founder of the university, chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli was published (pp. 31-44).
The article discusses various concepts pertaining to mental health and suicide in general, such as stigma, self-esteem, the construct of “culture of honor ,” and their roles in suicide risk.
