A meeting with educational workers of Sumgayit was held in the Khazar University “Marble Hall.” Director of Public Relations and Media Alovset Amirbeyli introduced the university administration and deans to the guests.
The founder of Khazar University and chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, lectured in detail about the current state and problems of education in Azerbaijan and the development aspects of Khazar University for today and the future.
Head of the Office of Admission and Students Isaxan Isaxanli gave detailed information about departments, majors and other areas.
Then floor was passed to guests. Director of Methodology of the Sumgayit City Education Department Sabir Mammadov expressed his gratitude for the pleasant welcome and talked about upcoming work and joint actions carried out by the university to this day. Director of the “Tafakkur” Lyceum Basira Agayeva, Director of the “Talent” Lyceum Adila Suleymanova, Director of School № 15 Khaneli Mammadov, Head Deputy of Technical Sciences of the Gymnasium Azad Genceliyev, Methodologist of Sumgait City Education Department Gulbahar Hagverdiyeva, Director of School № 5 Esmira Ismailova, Director of School № 31 Khanim Akhmedova, and others made presentations, noting the necessity of expanding relations with higher education institutions and secondary schools including Khazar University as well as holding such meetings consistently. The educational workers brought a number of proposals to the attention of the university administrators who participated in the meeting. Finally, Hamlet Isaxanli summed up the meeting by reciting some of his poems at the request of the participants. Photos were taken.
