Görkəmli türkoloq alim S. Q. Klyaştornıy vəfat etmişdir Well-known Turkologist S.G. Klyashtorniy Passed Away

Görkəmli türkoloq alim, pedaqoq, ictimai xadim, tarix elmləri doktoru, 2013-cü ilədək Rusiya Elmlər Akademiyası (RAN) Şərq Əlyazmaları İnstitutunun Mərkəzi və Cənubi Asiya Şöbəsinin müdiri olmuş professor Sergey Qriqoryeviç Klyaştornıy sentyabrın 24-də Sankt-Peterburqda vəfat etmişdir, S. Q. Klyaştornıy Xəzər Universitüetinin “Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences” jurnalının redaksiya heyətinin də üzvü idi.
Alimin vəfatı münasibətilə Xəzər Universitetindən Şərq Əlyazmaları İnstitutuna göndərilmiş məktubu və institutdan cavabı təqdim edirik.

Уважаемая Ирина Федоровна!
Скорбим по поводу кончины выдающегося ученого и педагога, всемирно известного тюрколога Сергея Григорьевича Кляшторного. Сергей Григорьевич оставил много книг и исследований, в результате которых была создана научно аргументированная картина ранней истории многих тюркских народов. В Азербаджане знали труды С.Г. Кляшторного и высоко ценили его вклад в науку. Сергей Григорьевич щедро делилися знаниями не только с коллегами-востоковедами , но и самой широкой аудиторией.
Университет Хазар гордится тем, что большой ученый и гуманист Сергей Григорьевич Кляшторный нашел время приехать к нам в университет и выступить с циклом лекций по древне-тюркской истории. Это было важнейшее событие в научной жизни нашего Университета и жизни азербайджанского студенчества. Он был членом редколлегии пользующегося известностью научного журнала нашего университета- “Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences”.
Память о большом ученом и общественном деятеле навсегда останется в сердцах его азербайджанских коллег и благодарных студентов.

С уважением, The well-known Turkologist, educator, civil servant, Doctor of Historical Sciences, member of the Eastern Manuscripts Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences until 2013, director of the South Asia Department, Professor Sergey Klyashtorniy passed away on September 24th in Saint Petersburg.
Klyashtorniy was also a member of the editorial board of Khazar University’s Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Khazar University sent a letter of condolence to the Eastern Manuscripts Institute. The letter and the reply are printed below.

Dear Irina Fyodorovna,
We are grieving the death of the outstanding scholar and eduator, world-renowned Turkologist Sergey Grigoryevich Klyashtorniy. Sergey Grigoryevich left behind many books and research articles which laid the foundation for the proposed map of the early history of many Turkic peoples. In Azerbaijan, Klyashtorniy’s work was well known and his contributions to academia were highly valued. He generously shared his knowledge not only with his Turkologist colleagues, but also with the wider public.
Khazar University is proud that such a great scholar and humanist as Sergey Klyashtorniy found time to visit us and present a series of lectures on ancient Turkic history. This was an important event in the academic life of our university and for Azerbaijani students. He was also a member of the editorial board of the reputable scholarly journal of our university, Khazar Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The memories of this great scholar and his works will always remain in the hearts of our Azerbaijani colleagues and grateful students.
