Universitetlərarası “Spagettidən hazırlanmış körpü” müsabiqəsi keçirildi National Spaghetti Bridge Competition Held

2015-ci il mayın 5-də Xəzər Universitetinin təsisçisi, Direktorlar və Qəyyumlar Şurasının sədri professor Hamlet İsaxanlı və Mühəndislik və Tətbiqi elmlər fakültəsinin dekanı, fəlsəfə doktoru Hassan Niknafsın iştirakı ilə İnşaat mühəndisliyi departamenti tərəfindən universitetdə ilk dəfə olaraq, universitetlərarası “Spagettidən hazırlanmış körpü” müsabiqəsi keçirildi. Müsabiqənin əvvəlində H.Niknafs iştirakçıları salamladıqdan sonra İnşaat mühəndisliyi departamentininin müəllimi Taher Çegini dünyada keçirilən bu müsabiqə haqqında təqdimatla çıxış etdi.
Yarışmada 3 universitet – Xəzər Universiteti, Azərbaycan Dövlət Neft Akademiyası, Azərbaycan Memarlıq və İnşaat Universitetindən ümumilikdə 4 komanda bir-birilə yarışdı. Körpülər qiymətləndirilmək üçün hakimlərə təqdim olundu və onlar testdən keçirildikdən sonra qaliblər müəyyənləşdirildi. 1-ci yeri Azərbaycan Neft Akademiyasının “Oil Bridge”, 2-ci yeri Xəzər Universitetinin “Suicide”, 3-cü yeri isə Azərbaycan Memarlıq və İnşaat Universitetinin “Elizabet” komandaları tutdu.
İştirakçılara sertifikatlar təqdim olundu və qaliblər mükafatlandırıldılar. Khazar University’s first National Spaghetti Bridge competition was held on May 5th, 2015 by the Civil Engineering Department with the participation of the university’s founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Hamlet Isaxanli, and the Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Dr. Hasan Niknafs.

At the beginning of the competition, Dr. Niknafs welcomed the audience. Then Mr. Taher Chegini from the Civil Engineering Department presented a brief introduction to Spaghetti Bridge competitions held around the world.

A total of 4 groups from 3 universities – Khazar University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction – competed with each other.

Prior to the competition, the participants presented their bridges to the judges to be evaluated and authenticated.

After that, the groups were called one by one to put their authentic bridges to the test, which was done by hanging a bucket from the structure and filling it with weights to determine the bridge’s strength. The 1st place winner was the “Oil Bridge” team from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy; the 2nd place winner was “Suicide II” from Khazar University; and the 3rd place winner was “Elizabeth” from Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. At the end of the event, all participants received a Certificate of Participation and the winners were announced and awarded.
