Khazar University Presents Student Engineering Projects at “ADEX 2026” Exhibition
Khazar University took part in the 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition, “ADEX 2026,” with innovative engineering projects developed by students. A Robot Tank and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV Drone), both developed by the university’s students, were showcased at the exhibition.
The exhibition was attended by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees; Dr. Razia Isaeva, Rector of the university; Gunel Bahaddinova, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology; Fakhranda Afandiyeva, Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering; Milana Abbasova, Dean of the Graduate School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences; Lyudmila Sotova, Director of Khazar University’s Quality Assurance Center; and Mohammad Alizade, lecturer at the Department of Physics and Electronics, project supervisor, and mentor.
The projects were developed by fourth-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Tural Shaban, Vasif Ahmadov, and Elshan Jabbarov, fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student Humayra Askarova, and second-year Computer Science student Nihat Majidov.
In developing the projects, special attention was paid to the practical application of the theoretical knowledge students had gained in electronics, mechanics, programming, and robotics. The systems, created through the joint efforts of students from different specializations, combine the integration of electronic and mechanical components, remote control, and real-time image and data transmission.
The Robot Tank was developed as a remotely controlled unmanned ground platform. The platform is intended for reconnaissance, observation, and various support purposes. Its integrated camera system enables real-time image transmission, while its modular design allows various functional equipment to be added to the platform.
The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV Drone) was developed for aerial observation, monitoring, search, and research purposes. The drone makes it possible to collect data from difficult and inaccessible areas. Its modular design allows various cameras, sensors, and other technical equipment to be integrated into the system.
Among the projects’ key advantages, remote control, real-time image and data transmission, the ability to operate in difficult terrain, modular design, and multi-purpose application capabilities are particularly noted.
The presentation of the Robot Tank and UAV Drone projects at “ADEX 2026” is an indicator of the opportunities created at Khazar University for students to work on real engineering projects, collaborate across different specializations, and turn their theoretical knowledge into practical solutions.
These projects also contribute to the development of practice-oriented education in robotics, electronics, mechanics, and computer technologies at Khazar University, to the formation of students’ innovative thinking and engineering skills, and to the development of new solutions in the field of modern technologies.
