From February 12 to 16, 2024, Khazar University’s Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy organized a training session led by Professor Didem Buhari from Izmir Katip Celebi University, Republic of Türkiye.

The training focused on “Researching Politics and International Relations: Introduction to Quantitative and Qualitative Methods.” 

Participants included Dr. Orkhan Valiyev, the head of Khazar University’s Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy, as well as Malak Karimova, the coordinator of the Psychology Department, faculty members of the department, and both local and international doctoral and master’s students.

The training commenced with an opening speech by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, and continued throughout the week, with sessions held twice daily.

Prof. Didem Buhari led a comprehensive 5-day training session covering essential aspects of scientific research, including criteria for research evaluation, topic selection, literature review techniques, proper survey and interview methods, and practical examples from the fields of politics and international relations.

Participants engaged in daily practical tasks that complemented the theoretical knowledge imparted during the training.

The training concluded on February 16, 2024, with the presentation of certificates and gifts by Khazar University Rector Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova and Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli to guest Prof. Didem Buhari. Training participants were also presented with certificates.
